Illegal immigration is a huge problem in our country which needs to be fixed. Now don't take me wrong, I am a huge fan of legal immigration. Legal immigration is good for the economy and is great for people who want to come to America. There are some who would like to allow amnesty for all illegals in our country. There is a problem with this: it is ILLEGAL immigrants, notice the word illegal. What is next the legalization of marijuana? There are also some who talk about how much they hate Mexicans. That is wrong. One, don't hate people. Two, there are illegal immigrants coming in from every where and of all nationalities.

1The solution is very simple: we build a fence. You are probably wondering, "how do we pay for that?" I will address that later. Then, start deporting all illegals in the country including those in our jails. Here is something that will make you think: the average illegal non high school graduate pays $10,573 in taxes ebut they get $30,160 in benefits each year. Guess who pays for the other $19,588? YOU! That means , it costs us $89.1 billion per year for 4.5 million illegals. Which is, $890 billion per decade. I propose that that would be sufficient to build a fence across our border. Also, think about this: $17,000 is the cost per year per elderly low skill illegal That means if 10 million are given amnesty, then say 8.5 million reach 67, there is then a cost of $306,000 per illegal through their 18 years of retirement. That is a cost of 2.6 trillion dollars for all of the amnesty recipients during retirement.

I contend that this is a huge problem our country needs to fix. The solution is simple: Secure the borders and deport the illegals.

A story on my beliefs about gun control

Recently Frank 82 and Barbra 74 a African-American couple came home from breakfast around 10:00 am on Thursday October 25, 2007. The couple noticed that there was i light on inside there house that was not on when they left. They went inside and found a 42 year old African-American man in there living room. At first he claimed he was looking for food and was leaving right now. But frank told the man not to move and sit down. Frank went back to his bedroom and found $1000 missing and a shotgun. He then went back out to the living room were the man was. The man pulled out the shotgun and pointed it at Frank. Frank produced a 38. caliber revolver and shot the man once in the leg. The man the reached for the shotgun a tried to grab Barbra, Franks wife. Frank responded by firing to shots, hitting the man once in the stomach lining and once in the genitals. This is the type of incident that the newspapers never cover or if the do its on page f 18. Frank probably saved his own life and his wife Barbra’s life. Think about it, if the aclu and other similar organizations succeed in taking away our guns then the newspapers will have a front page story and it will read OLDER COUPLE KILLED IN ARMED ROBBERY. Is that what you want to read about in the papers? We have the right to bear arms and that right should not be taken away. Anyone who is against guns think about it this way what if some one was pointing a gun at you would you want to be defenseless, I don’t think so. All I have to say is that the last thing I want in this country is to not have any way to protect myself. The truth is if guns our outlawed then the drug dealers, gangs and bank robbers are still going to be able to get guns. They get them illegally now, what makes you think they won’t when guns are outlawed?

Washinton Briefing

I recently attended the Washington Briefing. I really enjoyed it i got to hear all of the Republican Presidential hopefuls speak along with Newt Gingrich and some other interesting speakers. I will talk about some of the candidates and what i thought of them.

Mike Huckabee

Hearing Huckabee speak was very interesting he talked he talked about how he will Secure the borders, outlaw abortion, outlaw gay marriage and that we need to "tell the Saudis that in ten years we will care as much about the oil as we do about there sand". I think that Huckabee has the right idea we need to secure our borders and make it easier for immigrants to come to the USA. Huckabee also said "I thank God were in a country that people are trying to break in, not out". I believe that some sort of fence need to be built that completely secure the border and that this needs to be done in a timely fashion. Huckabee also mentioned that family's are threatened because people want to redefine marriage. He was completely right our nation will deteriorate if we do not follow what Gods word says. He plans on not allowing gay marriage in our country, that is what needs to be done. He also mentioned that he will outlaw abortion again Huckabee is hitting the nail on the head. Life begins at conception not when the baby is born. It is ridiculous that if a baby is a few minutes old and murdered then that person will probably go to prison. On the other hand a baby can be murdered when it is only minutes from birth and everything is perfectly legal.

Rudy Giuliani

Giuliani was a intresting speaker to hear. He spent most of the time talking about how he had improved New York. These results were impressive. Giuliani said that before he was mayor of NY 60% of people wanted to leave NY now NY is the safest large city. He also said that the time square area has been cleaned up. Before it was a haven for prostitutes and drug dealers. He also removed 42 adult entertainment enterprises from the city of New York. He also said that he was a strong proponent of school choice Giuliani believes that it take a family to raise a child not a village. Some of the reasons that Giuliani is not a huge fan of the republican party. Is because he believes that a women should have the right to abort there children. Giuliani did say though that abortion went down 18% in NY while he was in office. Giuliani did say that we should increase adoptions and decrease abortions. He also talked about the war in Iraq he believes we need stay in Iraq and stay on the offense. He also said "we will under no circumstances let Iran become a nuclear power". Giuliani briefly mentioned that we need to stop genocide in Darfur.

In conclusion i still believe that Huckabee is our best choice as the republican nominee. All of the other candidates did not line up with my beliefs like Huckabee did. Any of these candidates would be better than Hillary or Obama. Below are the results for the straw poles.
